Urban Future Lab
The Urban Future Lab (UFL) is New York City’s hub for smart cities, smart grid and clean energy. The space hosts programs like ACRE, a business incubation program, PowerBridgeNY, a proof-of-concept center, and Clean Start, an educational program.
As UX + Digital Strategy Lead, I currently develop and present project strategies, sitemaps, wireframes, user flows, journey maps, and prototypes based on data-driven decisions and user testing results. I help teams make tactical design recommendations based on design practices, web standards, and usability findings.
One of my initial tasks involved working to clarify Urban Future Lab’s branding to make clear distinctions between the space and programs offered. I analyzed the content and redesigned the web architecture in a way that will be accessible to anyone who needs to make changes moving forward. I additionally worked on other brand components like business cards, company description pages, expo banners and brochures. I also worked with companies incubating in the space on their marketing communications.
